Facilities/Reservations

The Town of Otisco offers a Town Park which is located next to the Town Hall at 1924 Barker Street, Otisco, New York, featuring a covered pavilion with picnic tables, a basketball court, 2 tennis courts, childrens’ playground, grass fields for sporting events, a walking trail, off street parking and a portable restroom.

The Town Park is open to the general public from dawn to dusk, 7 days a week, during the Spring, Summer and Fall, and may be reserved in advance for special events such as parties, sporting events and other activities.

Non-Residents Use of the Park and Pavilion for Special Events

The Town of Otisco requires the following when non-residents use the park and pavilion for special events:

1. A written request to reserve the Town Park should be made to the Town Clerk at least fourteen (14) days before the event specifying the following:

                        a.  The name, address, telephone number and email address of the organizer or sponsor of the event;

                        b.  The proposed date and times of the reservation;

                        c.  The nature of the event (e.g. birthday party, club event);

                        d.  The approximate number of persons who will attend the event.

2.  A deposit of $150.00 is to be paid by check made payable to the Town of Otisco and received no later than seven (7) days before the date of the reservation. This deposit is fully refundable if there is no damage to the Park and its facilities and the Town Park Policy regarding the removal of all trash or garbage generated at the event are complied with (please see below);

3.  A Certificate of Insurance from the non-resident event organizer's or sponsor's insurance company naming the Town of Otisco as additional insured on the policy.  The Certificate of Insurance should be emailed to the Town Clerk at  [email protected] with a copy emailed to the Attorney for the Town, Craig Billinson, Esq., at  [email protected] at least seven (7) days before the event; and

4.  The compliance of all persons who attend the event at the Town Park with the Town Park Use Policies set forth below.

Park Use Policies

ALL PERSONS UTILIZING THE TOWN PARK ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REMOVING ANY TRASH OR GARBAGE THEY OR THEIR GUESTS GENERATE DURING SUCH USE UPON LEAVING THE PARK.  SO, PLEASE BE PREPARED TO BRING TRASH BAGS OR TRASH RECEPTACLES WITH YOU FOR THIS PURPOSE.

THE USE OF MOTARIZED VEHICLES AND GLASS CONTAINERS IN THE PARK ARE PROHIBITED.

Those using the Park are asked to be courteous of others also using the Park’s facilities.
